VAT on fees – important information
The fees are stated in SEK including Swedish VAT. Please note: According to Swedish and EU** legislation all delegates are required to pay Swedish VAT on the registration fee (25%), social events (25%) and hotel (12%).
** According to the EU legislation and regulation for conferences and events (C-647/17, EU:C:2019:195, of 13 March 2019 and Article 53 of Council Directive 2006/112/EC of 28 November 20016) VAT is paid in the country where services are rendered, e.g. the country in which the conference takes place.

VAT on exhibition & sponsorship
All prices listed are in SEK and exclude 25% VAT. For those companies outside Sweden but within the European Union that provide us with their VAT number, we will not apply VAT to your sponsoring or exhibition packages as this will be subject to reversed charge. For companies outside European Union, VAT is not applicable. Registration fee to the congress, social events and hotel accommodation are subject to VAT for all countries.
Method of payment
All payments should be made in Swedish krona (kr/SEK). All bank transfer charges in connection with transferring fees are to be paid by the delegate. No personal, company or Euro-cheques will be accepted.
Payment can be made by the following methods:
Credit card – Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Please note that all credit card payments are made through a secure and encrypted online payment gateway, and will be listed as a transaction with Sweden Meetx AB on your credit card statement.
Invoice – Only possible for Swedish companies/organisations with a valid Swedish VAT number (Org.nr). Invoices should be paid within 30 days.
Cancellation of registration and social events
Until 15 July 2021, cancellation is possible and you will be refunded the congress fee less an administrative cost of SEK 500. We regret that no refunds can be made for cancellations received after July 16th 2020. If you cannot attend the congress, your registration is transferable to another member of your organisation, an administrative cost of SEK 250 will be charged. Cancellation of hotel
- When the reservation is confirmed until 8 weeks before arrival, no charge will be taken if reservation is cancelled
- From 8 to 6 weeks before arrival – 50% of the total cost of the reservation will be charged.
- From 6 to 4 weeks before arrival – 80% of the total cost of the reservation will be charged.
- We regret that no cancellation within 4 weeks before arrival will be refunded.
Please note that change of arrival/departure dates within this deadline is to be counted as cancellation. Changes and/or cancellations have to be made directly to Sweden MEETX AB and not to the hotel.
